No. 30777 Sit Lamiel undertook a turning move from Swanage to Eastleigh and return on Friday 28th May. The move provided the opportunity for Sir Lamiel to collect recently renovated Class 108 car M54504 and to work the unit back to Swanage. This move might normally have seen a 66 or 37 but the availability of Sir Lamiel provided what some regard as the first 'planned' commercial steam working (other than railtour or ecs moves) on the mainline network since 1967. This could be a highly significant event.
