Class 66 No. 66122 on its way to Hams Hall, passes under the roadbridge at Water Orton on 5th July 2010.


Fiskerton Junction and the lines absolute block signalling were up for replacement but the current financial climate dictates that the semaphores on this line are very unlikely to be going anywhere for the foreseeable future. The box is located between Nottingham and Newark on the line to Lincoln and Cleethorpes, it retains a 30 lever frame and a set of wheel worked gates, the wheel being out of view to the photographers right. Monday 5th July 2010.


This train doesn't run every day but when it does for large chunks of the year it runs in darkness or shadow. Due to pass Fiskerton Junction, Notts. at 19.23, it is seen here from the box steps on Monday 5th July 2010 running just 1 minute late at 19.24. The train is 6M24 the 17.07 Lindsey O.R. to Kingsbury, comprising No. 66004 and 30 loaded TEA wagons.


Providing super power for a light load of one nuclear flask, a pair of smart looking Direct Rail Services Class 37's No's No. 37682 & 37194 thunder through Kings Norton and towards the Lifford Curve as they cross Birmingham with a working from Bridgwater to Crewe on 5th July 2010.


Caught in the early evening sun, East Midlands Trains class 158 DMU No. 158788 heads west past Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens with the 17:54 Norwich to Peterborough service on the 5th July 2010.


Back-lit in the early evening sunlight and still in EWS livery, DB Schenker Class 66 No. 66060 heads east towards the Burnthouse Road level crossing at Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens with the 4L05 Wakefield Europort to Felixstowe intermodal service on the 5th July 2010.


Cross Country Trains class DMU 170 No. 170117 heads west in the early evening sunshine, towards the Burnthouse Road level crossing at Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens with the 17:18 Stanstead Airport to Birmingham New Street service on the 5th July 2010.


Bathed in the Fenland sunlight, Freightliner class 66 No. 66587, passes the Three Horse Shoes signal box at Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens, with the 4E55 Felixstowe to Doncaster intermodal service on the 5th July 2010.


Cross Country Trains class 170 DMU No. 170114 heads east past Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens with the 15:22 Birmingham New Street to Stanstead Airport service on the 5th July 2010.


With a derelict lineside building visible in the background, National Express East Anglia class 170 DMU No. 170206 heads west towards the Burnthouse Road level crossing at Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens with the 16:02 Ipswich to Peterborough service on the 5th July 2010.


GBRf Class 66 No. 66706 'Nene Valley' heads towards the Burnthouse Road level crossing at Turves with the 4L78 Selby to Felixstowe intermodal service on the 5th July 2010.


East Midlands Trains class 158 DMU No. 158858 heads east to the Burnthouse Road level crossing at Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens with the 16:36 Peterborough to Norwich service on the 5th July 2010.


Cross Country Trains class 170 DMU No. 170398 heads west towards the Burnthouse Road level crossing at Turves in the Cambridgeshire Fens, with the 15:20 Stanstead Airport to Birmingham New Street service on the 5th July 2010.
