EWS Class 67 No. 67023 was used as the main motive power after the CFPS owned Class 40 No. 40145 suffered a number 4 traction motor failure once past Netherfield Junction on the outward leg of the 'East Lancs Explorer' charter. 67023 is seen here with 40145 dead in tow, on the 1Z42 return leg of the railtour, passes Whittlesey signal box on the 4th September 2010.


On the on 4th September 2010, EWS Class 67 No. 67023 was used as the main loco after the CFPS owned Class 40 No. 40145 suffered a number 4 traction motor failure once past Netherfield Junction on the 1Z40 leg of the 'East Lancs Explorer' charter. 67023 is seen here with 40145 dead in tow, on the outward leg of the railtour at Manea in the Cambridgeshire Fens, with the classic semaphore signaling in view in the distance.


With the towering spire of the 14th century St Katharine's Church at Irchester clearly visible in the distance, East Midlands Trains Meridian Class 222 No. 222020 powers towards the Sharnbrook Summit in the late afternoon sunshine, with the 16:02 Nottingham to London St Pancras service, on the 30th August 2010.


In the last few moments before dusk, LMS Class 5MT 4-6-0 No. 44932 slows on approach to Ely Station hauling the 1Z48 return leg of 'The Cathedrals Express' on 29th August 2010.


With its single support coach in tow, WCRC Class 47/8 No. 47804 heads through Huntingdon Station at speed with an unidentified working on the 27th August 2010.


With a mixture of powercar and coaches livery, an unidentified East Midlands Trains Class 43 gathers speed after crossing the Sharnbrook Viaduct, as it heads south to London St Pancras, on the 27th August 2010.


With the seemingly tangled mess of electrification overhead wiring disappearing in to the distance, LMS Class 5MT No. 44932 approaches Huntingdon Station having moved to the Up - Slow, with the 5Z44 York NRM to Southall positioning move on the 27th August 2010.

Powering around the curve from the Sharnbrook Viaduct in the early evening sunlight, East Midlands Trains Meridian Class 222 No. 222009 gathers speed as it heads north with the 17:00 London St Pancras to Nottingham service, on the 22nd August 2010.


Heading south with the 16:47 Derby to London St Pancras service, East Midlands Trains Meridian Class 222 No. 222005 powers towards the Sharnbrook Viaduct on the 22nd August 2010.


Running approximately 7 minutes late, East Midlands Trains Meridian Class 222 No. 222003 gathers speed after crossing the Sharnbrook Viaduct, as it heads south with the 16:18 Nottingham to London St Pancras service, on the 22nd August 2010.


Bathed in the early evening light, East Midlands Trains Class 43 HST No. 43048 accelerates away from the Sharnbrook Viaduct heading south to Bedford with the 14:05 Leeds to London St. Pancras service on the 22nd August 2010.


With the rake of empty gypsum carrying rolling stock partially obscured by dust from the track ballast, GBRf Class 66/7 No. 66705 'Golden Jubilee' powers towards Conington North LC with the 4E19 Mountfield to West Burton power station working, on the 28th June 2010.


In the golden light of early evening, East Coast class 43/2 No. 43299 powers south past Conington heading the 16:40 Leeds to London King’s Cross service on the 16th August 2010.


Bathed in the glorious early evening sunlight, Freightliner class 66/5 No. 66528 heads past Conington with the 4V11 Peterborough to Fairwater departmental (sleepers) working on the 16th August 2010.


As the light fades on a mid August evening, the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust’s Peppercorn A1 ‘Pacific’ steam locomotive No. 60163 ‘Tornado’, passes Wood Walton in the Cambridgeshire Fens with the return leg of ‘The Cathedrals Express’ charter to London King’s Cross from York, on the 16th August 2010.
